Labrador Shelf Offshore Area SEA

The Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Labrador Shelf Offshore Area Update report provides information on the existing environment within the SEA Update Study Area and identifies and highlights key environmental features and considerations which may be associated with future oil and gas activities in the Labrador SEA Area. The report updates the previously conducted Strategic Environmental Assessment Labrador Shelf Offshore Area in 2008 and expands its eastern limits in the southern portion.

2021, August 2	Labrador Shelf Offshore Area Strategic Environmental Assessment Update Information Sessions As part of the public and stakeholder review process for the Labrador Shelf Offshore Area Strategic Environmental Assessment Update, the C-NLOPB will be hosting the following two virtual information sessions: Newfoundland and Labrador Indigenous Groups Information Session Wednesday, August 18 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. NDT (1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ADT). Public and Stakeholders Information Session Thursday, August 19 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. NDT (1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ADT). These sessions will highlight the key preliminary results of the draft SEA Update Report and provide information on the progress of the SEA Update process. Interested participants are asked to please register by email at information@cnlopb.ca by August 16, 2021.
